Once a chapter 11 is filed, the United States trustee is required to supervise the administration of the case. As a claims agent, BMC Group works with trustees to ensure all operating guidelines and reporting requirements are met. When the debtor is subject to any reporting requirements, BMC Group can assist the debtor in fulfilling this need. We facilitate pre-petition and post-petition accounts payable cut-off and provide detailed reporting as necessary for the case. The BMC Group Project Management team helps coordinate timing and determine acceptable format for reporting to the court.

In addition, BMC Group provides a global claims processing portal that includes 24/7, web-based access to debtor case information and critical reporting metrics. Debtor's professionals and parties-in-interest gain access to claims, claim review deadlines, and court calendars. The portal also includes email and portal-based alerts of case milestones and receipt of specific client forms, receipt of objections, requests for exclusion, or other claim activity. The secure, case-specific portals offer real-time status of notices sent, claims received, and other critical metrics. To maintain confidentiality, comments on each account are created and shared within an encrypted environment.
