Richard Simmons
Managing Director, Class Action
Richard Simmons joined BMC Group Class Action Services (fka Analytics Inc.) in 1990. Richard is responsible for the management of BMC Group’s class action and mass tort consulting practice. From managing the largest class action notice campaign in United States history, to settlements involving more than 80 million class members, to administrating one of the largest product liability / mass tort settlements ever, to distributing $2.5 billion in proceeds, Richard’s expertise in the management of massive transaction related engagements is unparalleled. Richard is one of the leading experts on the administration of class action settlements in the country, and has testified in both state and federal court processes and procedures adopted by BMC Group. Richard’s career began with managing electronic discovery supporting employment, securities, and antitrust class action litigation. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from St. Olaf College, and has extensive graduate level training in Economics. Richard has taught at the University of Minnesota Law School (Guest Lecturer – Economic Damage Analysis) and St. Olaf College (Antitrust Economics), and published a peer review article on securities litigation. Richard is a current member of the American Mensa Society, was a charter member of the American Academy of Economic Experts, and was a former referee for the Journal of Legal Economics.
Greg Wiedbusch
Director of Sales, Class Action / COO, Global Services
Greg Wiedbusch is based in the Minneapolis office. Greg is the COO of global services and director of class action sales at BMC Group. With 24 years of experience driving revenue and operational efficiency, Greg ensures that our settlement solutions deliver an optimal experience to law firms and investment banking clients. Prior to BMC Group, Greg was the managing director at Bowne &Co. (acquired by RR Donnelly). Greg held management positions at Bowne including regional vice president, and later, managing director of Southern California and midwest regions. He was responsible for sales and operations which oversaw 200+ employees in each position. Greg holds a BS degree in Printing Management from Ferris State University and completed a Business Management Program at UCLA School of Business.
Rachel L.B. Stoering, Esq.
Director, Class Action
Rachel Stoering is based in the Minneapolis office. Rachel oversees BMC Group’s class action project management teams, ensuring the successful implementation of our engagements. Rachel also consults with current and prospective clients to develop and implement pre-settlement and settlement administration solutions. Rachel brings to BMC Group 10 years of expertise in complex litigation, which allows her to relate first hand to our clients’ administrative needs and to advance BMC Group’s commitment to high quality service. Before joining BMC Group, Rachel worked as an associate attorney in private practice where she focused extensively on complex class action litigation, primarily in the areas of antitrust and consumer fraud. Before working as an attorney, she served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Ann D. Montgomery in the United States District Court, District of Minnesota. Rachel is admitted to practice in Minnesota and the United States District Court: District of Minnesota, and Eastern District of Wisconsin. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Bar Association: Sections of Antitrust and Litigation and the American Association of Justice.
Christian J. Clapp, Esq.
Director, Class Action
Christian Clapp is based in the Minneapolis office. Christian consults with BMC Group’s current and prospective class action and mass tort clients to develop and implement pre-settlement and settlement administration solutions. Christian brings to BMC Group over 7 years of expertise in complex litigation, which allows her to relate first hand to BMC’s clients’ administrative needs and to advance BMC Group’s commitment to high quality service. Prior to join BMC Group, Christian was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General where she focused on consumer protection and antitrust litigation. Prior to joining the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, Christian was an associate attorney in private practice where she focused extensively on complex class action litigation, primarily in the areas of securities, antitrust and consumer fraud. Before working as an associate attorney, she served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Paul Magnuson in the United States District Court, District of Minnesota and also interned with the Department of Justice, Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section. Prior to law school, Christian worked for former United States Senator Byron Dorgan. Christian is admitted to practice in Minnesota and the United States District Court of Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Bar Association: Sections of Antitrust and Litigation and the American Association of Justice.
Brooke Hodge, Esq.
Director, Class Action
Brooke Hodge is based in the Los Angeles office where she works with clients to develop and implement pre-settlement and settlement administration solutions. Brooke brings over 10 years of expertise in complex, class action litigation and business development to BMC Group, which allows her to relate first hand to our clients’ needs. Prior to joining BMC Group, Brooke worked as Director of Business Development for a San Diego based company where she was in charge of building and retaining client relations with private businesses, local and state governments, and international accounts. Prior to that, Brooke worked as an associate in private practice where she focused extensively on complex and class action litigation, primarily in the areas of antitrust, securities and consumer fraud. Brooke attended Michigan State University where she graduated with honors. After college she attended California Western School of Law where she was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge John Houston in the Southern District of California. Brooke is admitted to practice law in California and the Southern and Northern Districts of California. She is a member of the California State Bar Association, American Association of Justice, and Los Angeles County Bar Association: Sections of Antitrust and Securities Litigation.
Jonathan Reid
Project Manager, Class Action
Jonathan Reid is based in the Minneapolis office and has been a Project Manager for BMC Group Class Action (by way of Analytics, Inc. aquisition) since 2004. In that time he has directly managed or otherwise participated in the supervision of more than 100 class action settlements, including some of BMC Group’s largest MDL engagements. Jonathan's in-depth experience in the administration of complex settlements allows him the expertise to serve as both a consultant as well as an administrator for BMC's clients, and ensures that his team is able to surpass client expectation while meeting deadlines and budgets. Jonathan earned his bachelor's degree in History and Philosophy from Western Michigan University, and his master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Sussex (UK).
